How do I reserve a cruise?
Everything begins with an availability request. Choose your vessel, itinerary and preferred departure date on our request form and tell us who is travelling. Our team then confirms availability with the vessel and sends you a private proposal by email — nothing is booked or paid until you accept it.
Is my request a reservation?
No. A request simply asks us to confirm availability for your preferences. Your place is only reserved once you have accepted your proposal and completed the payment requested.
Can I follow the progress of my request?
Yes. Every request receives a reference number, sent to you by email. With it and your email address, you can check the status of your request at any time on the Track Your Request page — and reach your secure payment link once your proposal is ready.
Will a Galápagos Redefined naturalist be with us?
Our naturalist guides — born and raised in the Galápagos — accompany our guests whichever vessel in our collection they choose.
How do the deposit and balance work?
If your departure is more than 120 days away, a 30% deposit reserves your voyage and the balance is due before the 120-day mark. If your departure is within 120 days, full payment is made at the time of reservation.
How do I pay?
Once you accept your proposal, we send you a secure payment link. Payment is accepted by PayPal or bank transfer.
What currency are prices shown in?
All prices are in US Dollars (USD).
What happens if the balance is not paid in time?
We send courtesy reminders well before the date. If the balance remains unpaid at the 120-day mark, the reservation is released without refund — a firm position that reflects the limited number of guests each voyage can welcome.
What is your cancellation policy?
For a cancellation more than 120 days before departure, 15% of the total fare is returned to you and 50% is retained. Within 120 days of departure, the full fare is retained. The complete terms are set out in our Cancellation Policy.
Do I need travel insurance?
We recommend travel insurance to every guest, as a matter of course rather than caution.
Who operates the vessels?
La Pinta is operated by Metropolitan Touring; Legend is operated by Go Galapagos. Both are established Galápagos cruise operators; we curate and reserve your place aboard their vessels.
How do I get to the Galápagos?
Guests fly from mainland Ecuador (Quito or Guayaquil) to Baltra or San Cristóbal, depending on the itinerary. Flight coordination details are confirmed with your reservation.
